6-2) Application for Scanline



1. Application Document
Your application should include the following documents:
  • A cover letter stating the vacancy you would like to apply for, as well as the date when you will be available, and your expected salary
  • your CV including a list of your software skills and references
  • Showreel and/or portfolio if required for the position you are applying for
  • Showreel and/or portfolio breakdown describing your work on the individual shots/pictures

Showreels
  • Please burn showreels on dvd (we prefer PAL, NTSC is an option, too
  • Please indicate on the dvds your name, contact data, aspired position
  • The showreel should have a maximum length of 5 minutes, showing the latest/most relevant work samples at the beginning
  • To each showreel, please attach a detailed listing of the exact work on each shot, which project the shot belongs to, and which software was used
  • Please file software development projects or individual pictures on dvd or on cd as part of a file / a document.

Work samples / portfolios

If you would like to send your portfolio, please always send copies (in color) and never originals since we will not be able to return them.

Application via e-mail

If you would like to send your application via e-mail, please add your documents in 2-3 attachments (pdf) maximum. Applications containing links to online reels will be considered only if we can easily download the reels and burn them on cd.

  • Scanline VFX was founded in 1989 by Stefanie Stalf, Thomas Zauner and Peter Claridge
